1: What happened to the A-Team?
The A-Team was forced to disband because through the very first tasking, there was discord between the group members. The group under no circumstances actually gathered to full their first tasking of defining roles. The fights between the group members received so bad the particular one of their team members walked to the group and endangered to quit the program. Why do the group process break down?
The group process broke down because there was never an organization. This group began with a group of five individuals who had strong give out your opinion to someone else views by the relevancy of their careers and encounter. Instead of obtaining together as a group and mutually deciding how the tasking's must be assigned towards the group users. Instead of getting ways to associate their experience to a mission that would showcase group success, each member located ways to put down or dispute the experience of the other users. There was poor structural incorporation, differences in cultural identity, and stereotyping. What dimensions of diversity had been responsible for the conflict? The dimensions of diversity which were responsible for the conflict included gender, racial, experience, and age.
2: Describe which barriers to effectively taking care of diversity had been present in this case? Discrimination: Rebecca seems to think that the " girls” are being treated unfairly by simply Aran as they are women. That they feel that Aran didn't give them a " real” work. Stereotyping: The women feel that Aran is extremely sexist because he don't give them " real” jobs. While not especially mentioned they could assume he's sexist as well due to his Arab descent. Social Id: Being of Arab ancestry in a group of predominately American Aran felt that his social personality put him at a drawback. This almost certainly forced Aran to find a way to put him in a position of power in the others so that they can avoid becoming the outcast. He...
