The truly great Depression

The Great Depression took place in the1930s, and was known as the stock market crash. America's economy dropped, and several people misplaced their careers. Many persons had little if any money. The stock market did not cause the truly great Depression. The Great Depression started in 1929. Purchasing and building dropped. Farmers were already in an economic downturn before the Great Depression swept area. There were thousands of people that experienced very little funds. The Great Despression symptoms went through every part of the country. Many individuals were forced out of career. People who had been unemployed ranged from 15 to 25 percent in the workforce. In 1939, 17 percent of workers had been unemployed. A large number of people blamed business and financial market leaders for the challenge. President Rosevelt helped increase the economy. Our economy did not completely recover until the war started in Europe. The federal government took an active role in shaping the economy. Reporter Bruce Bliven said, " there is also a line of men three or perhaps sometimes several abreast, and block very long, and wedged together tightly…. For this simplicity there is a explanation: those in front of of this grey-black human fish will consume tonight; all those farther back probably won't” (The 20th century 62). One third in the population weren't getting food, garments, and shield. In conclusion, The truly great Depression was when crisis swept the country. " Owners of manufacturing crops could not offer their items, so they off workers”. Therefore , the 1930s was a hard time for many people.
